“Epesjimos” is a track from Murmuration, the 2025 album by New York-based chamber ensemble Percussia, released via Neuma Records. The album blends contemporary classical textures with global rhythmic influences, showcasing the group’s signature use of marimba, flute, and hand percussion. “Epesjimos” sits alongside compositions by various contemporary composers, contributing to the album’s meditative and exploratory tone.

The team of Ingrid Gordon and Frank Cassara handle the multiple hues of percussion with the team of Magaret Lancaster/fl, Susan Jolles/harp, Ljova viola-fadolin and vocalist Melissa Fogerty on this collection nof modern compositions. Fogerty’s luminous voice is featured on the almost operatic poem of six piece “Starfish At Pescadero” with a mix of modern Broadway and classical.

A beautiful new set of songs from Percussia delivers a beautifully lush and alive feeling set of soundscapes with amazing percussion along with harp, viola, flute, and more, all performed by this outstanding group based out of Queens, New York.... This is such a warm and well-rounded set of pieces that are all very much theatrical, blending classic goal approaches and giving off an absolutely gorgeous set of tones and textures that managed to come together like puzzle pieces.
